Summer time is hot in our area.  We start work before the sun comes up, in hopes of getting most of the hard stuff done before it really heats up.

In April we start gathering our cows and calves off of the range.  There is usually still snow on the mountains and it is quite chilly out.  We have 5 different herds on the desert in the winter that will all need to be gathered and brought to the ranch.  We have three locations that we come in to.  One is North of the main ranch, one on the main ranch and one place is South of the main ranch.  Our ranges extend 30 miles North, East and South of our main ranch in Baker.

When we bring the calves in, we process them,  What this is, is vaccinating, marking and fly tagging each calf, and castrating the males.
